A Smile to Last a Lifetime
April 17, 2024
As a family dentist we have been treating children for many years and have a wealth of experience in ensuring that their early visits lay the foundation for great teeth and a positive outlook on visiting the dentist for the rest of their life.
As your child’s dentist we will also give you advice on more specific tips and techniques that suit their individual needs. We treat our younger patients in a gentle yet confident manner and maintain a friendly and calming environment. This will ensure that younger patients will have a positive attitude towards all future dental treatment.
Dental caries (decay) is still unfortunately one of the top five reasons for a child to have a general anaesthetic, and yet serious dental work can be avoided - in dentistry prevention is always better than cure. The most common dental conditions of tooth decay and gum disease in children can both be reduced by following the 4 simple rules:
• Brush twice daily with fluoride toothpaste
• Use toothpaste with at least 1,350 ppm fluoride
• Always brush last thing at night and on one other occasion during the day
• Try to reduce the frequency and number of sugary foods and drinks throughout the day
We look forward to meeting new patients and your child will be in the safest of hands Our dentists are supported by our experienced nursing team, who work hard to ensure that a calm and caring environment gives children the reassurance they need.
With great care your child’s teeth will last them a lifetime – now isn’t that something to smile about.
