We welcome new patients to our practice

Don't worry if it's been a while since you attended your last dental check-up. We've all been guilty of avoiding the dentist chair at some point/ in our lives, but it's important to address any health concerns before they become complex or costly.

Why choose us?

At Westbrook House Dental Practice we offer a full range of dental services from routine dental check-ups to affordable cosmetic treatments, designed to enhance smiles.

On your first visit to the practice we will carry out a thorough dental examination and you will have the opportunity to discuss with your dentist any concerns you may have regarding your dental health.

If you are looking to improve your smile we will listen carefully to your wishes and smile aspirations, explaining any recommended treatments. We will then create a bespoke, individualised treatment plan just for you. Once your treatment plan has been confirmed, the appropriate appointment(s) will be arranged for you.

We strive to provide high quality care for all. Care that provides as positive an experience for patients as possible. We pride ourselves on providing the latest, research based treatments that will improve our patients' health, and our modern preventive based philosophy ensures that our patients are able to look after their teeth for life.

Regular dental care

We recommend all our patients attend regular check-ups even if you're not experiencing any problems with your mouth or teeth. Your dentist will advise you on how often you will need a routine check-up. The clinically recommended maximum intervals are up to 24 months for adults and up to 12 months for children. Within these guidelines, we will recommend a recall interval for you based on assessment of your current dental health

Attending regularly helps us keep your mouth, teeth and gums in good health and pain free. We can also deal with any issues before they become too painful or costly.

Emergencies

Dental emergencies can involve a range of scenarios from toothache to a broken filling. An accident involving your mouth or teeth can result in cracks, chips, fractures or even complete loss of a tooth. Toothache, jaw pain, an infection, bleeding or swelling means you need to see your dentist as soon as possible.

When a dental emergency occurs, it’s important to seek treatment from a qualified dentist. Not only will this increase the chance of saving your tooth (or teeth) but you’ll prevent infections from spreading or becoming more serious.

Nervous Patients

We know that many patients can be nervous about visiting the dentist. This is often caused by a bad experience in childhood, perhaps with a dentist who was not used to working with children.

At Westbrook House Dental Practice we have lots of experience of working with nervous patients and will do everything possible to support you through your treatment.
